Named after the creator deity in Japanese mythology, this restaurant presents the food that the Japanese eat in their homes, at restaurants, on the street and at the markets. The menu has small plates for sharing, as well as the always popular sushi and ramen, and is divided into over a dozen appetizers, sushi and sashimi, maki and temaki, robata and other authentic dishes of Japanese cuisine, plus desserts.
It’s a good option for lunch, as it offers a reasonably-priced menu of the day.
It’s in one of the former warehouses at the Docks, and the interior has an open kitchen, allowing you to watch every step of the robata (barbecuing) process. It sits up to 60 people, including in the exterior, by the river.
