Cantinho do Avillez

After his first Michelin-star recognition at the historic Tavares restaurant, and before his also-starred Belcanto, chef José Avillez decided to open his own little spot in 2011, where he could present a simpler and more varied cuisine, without losing the expected touch of sophistication. The result is this small, welcoming and informal place, with a long bar counter and a décor featuring vintage tiles and lighting.
It was here that the chef's famous hazelnut dessert, "avelã³," was first served.
In 2018 he opened a second "Cantinho," on the waterfront in the Parque das Nações district, with the same menu and with outdoor seating.

Depois de ter recebido a sua primeira estrela Michelin no histórico restaurante Tavares, e antes do seu premiado Belcanto, o chef José Avillez abriu este "cantinho" em 2011, onde oferece uma cozinha mais simples e variada, sem deixar de lhe dar um toque de sofisticação.
Trata-se de um espaço pequeno, acolhedor e informal, com um balcão corrido no bar e uma decoração composta por azulejos e candeeiros vintage.
Foi aqui que nasceu a famosa sobremesa de avelã do chef, a "avelã³".
Em 2018 abriu um segundo "Cantinho", junto ao Tejo no Parque das Nações, com a mesma carta e uma esplanada.
