Named after the restoration of the Portuguese crown after 60 years under a Spanish king, this square has a monumental obelisk at its center to commemorate the event.
Surrounding it are a number of attractive buildings, including Palácio Foz, a beautiful 18th century palace that's closed to the public except for a space on the lower level which functions as one of the city's tourist information centers.
Next to it is one of Lisbon's emblematic funiculars, the Elevador da Glória which connects this part of town with Bairro Alto.
Facing it is the city's Hard Rock Café, housed in a former theater and always packed with tourists.

À sua volta estão vários edifícios elegantes, entre os quais o Palácio Foz, um belo palácio do século XVIII que infelizmente encontra-se encerrado ao público com a exceção de um espaço no piso térreo que alberga o centro de informação turística de Portugal.
Ao lado vê-se um dos mais emblemáticos elevadores de Lisboa, o Elevador da Glória que liga esta parte da cidade ao Bairro Alto.
Do outro lado da praça está o Hard Rock Café, situado num antigo cinema e sempre cheio de turistas.
