This big 18th-century botanical garden is filled with exotic species and is home to two small museums -- the Garment Museum (or "Costume Museum") and the Theater Museum.
In the first one you'll find a small collection of fashions from the romantic era (including some worn by Queen Amelia) to the present. The second one, housed in an 18th-century mansion, presents the history of theater in Portugal through wardrobe, portraits, and models of Lisbon's first theaters, many of which no longer exist.

Este grande jardim botânico do século XVIII está repleto de espécies exóticas e inclui dois pequenos museus -- o Museu Nacional do Traje e o Museu Nacional do Teatro. O primeiro apresenta uma pequena coleção de trajes desde a época romântica (incluindo alguns usados por D. Amélia) até ao presente. O segundo, num palacete do século XVIII, recorda a história do teatro em Portugal através de guarda-roupa, retratos e modelos dos primeiros teatros em Lisboa, muitos deles já demolidos.
