Also known as "Jardim do Ultramar" (or the garden of the former colonies), this beautiful tropical garden created in 1906 remains a well-kept secret in the Belém district. It is made up of giant palm trees, duck-filled ponds, and around 4000 species of plants from around the world, many of them from Portugal's African and Asian colonies (that includes a special section dedicated to the plants of Macau).
It is one of the most charming and tranquil spots in the city, ideal for a romantic stroll or a family outing.
