This romantic 19th century park is a lovely spot for reading, jogging, and for children to play.
It is found across from Basilica da Estrela, and has ponds with ducks roaming around, a children's playground, an old bandstand, and a café serving light meals throughout the day.
In between it all is a number of exotic plants and several sculptures.
Behind it is the English Cemetery, the resting place of the city's British community over the centuries, with the most famous name found inside being Henry Fielding, the author of "Tom Jones" (he traveled to Lisbon to recover from illness but never returned home). The cemetery is open in the mornings, but if you find the gate closed, ring the bell to be allowed in.
Taking place in the park every first weekend of the month is a crafts and design fair from 10AM to 7PM.

Este jardim romântico do século XIX é um local agradável para ficar a ler, praticar desporto ou para as crianças brincarem.
Está situado em frente à Basilica da Estrela e tem pequenos lagos com patos, um recinto para crianças, um antigo coreto e um café que serve refeições ligeiras durante todo o dia.
Pelo meio encontram-se várias plantas exóticas e algumas esculturas.
Por trás fica o Cemitério dos Ingleses, usado pela comunidade britânica em Lisboa durante séculos, sendo Henry Fielding (autor de "Tom Jones") o "residente" mais famoso (Fielding tinha viajado até Lisboa para tratar de uma doença e nunca chegou a regressar a casa). O cemitério está aberto de manhã, mas se encontrar o portão fechado toque à campaínha.
De regresso ao jardim, poderá encontrar uma feira de artesanato urbano chamada "Crafts & Design" todos os primeiros fins de semana de cada mês, entre as 10 e as 19 horas.
