Located in the center of Alfama, this church always has tourists passing by, but almost no one goes inside to admire the beautiful interior. It is almost always closed, opening only once or twice a week for Mass on Friday afternoon (5PM) or early Sunday morning. It has one of the richest gilded interiors in the city, which is why it's one of the most surprisingly monumental attractions in Lisbon.

Situada bem no centro de Alfama, esta igreja tem sempre turistas a passar à porta. No entanto, quase ninguém pode entrar para admirar o seu belo interior, pois encontra-se quase sempre fechada. Abre só uma ou duas vezes à semana, para missa à sexta-feira à tarde (17h00) ou bem cedo ao domingo. Tem uma das mais ricas decorações em talha dourada da cidade, e é por isso um dos monumentos mais surpreendentes de Lisboa.
