This busy avenue running parallel to the river is known for having the city's largest concentration of clubs. Unfortunately it is crossed by a road that often looks like a highway with cars speeding by, and is separated from the river by the train tracks that go from the capital to the seaside village of Cascais. That means that to cross it and reach the clubs you'll have to use the overpasses found every few meters along the avenue, or walk from Cais do Sodré station along the river all the way to the riverfront club of your choice.
On the northern side of the avenue is a number of other bars and clubs, including the legendary Kremlin, Plateau, and Kapital, along with other nighttime venues and restaurants. Most of them are in former warehouses that were abandoned in the 1980s.

Esta movimentada avenida paralela ao rio é conhecida pelas suas discotecas. Infelizmente é uma avenida que parece mais uma autoestrada e é dividida ao meio pela linha de comboio que vai até Cascais. Isso significa que para percorrê-la e chegar até ao rio ou discotecas é necessário atravessar as passadeiras encontradas a alguns metros de distância de cada uma. Em alternativa caminhe pela margem do rio desde a estação do Cais do Sodré até à discoteca da sua escolha.
No lado norte da avenida encontram-se mais bares e algumas das discotecas mais conhecidas da cidade, como a mítica Kremlin, a Plateau e a Kapital, juntamente com alguns restaurantes. A maioria destes estabelecimentos encontram-se dentro de antigos armazéns abandonados nos anos 80.
