BOTEQUIM DA GRAÇA

The first "Botequim" opened in 1968 and was owned by a famous writer, Natália Correia. It was known for attracting intellectuals during the 70s and 80s, but closed soon after Correia's death in 1993. New owners decided to bring the small space back to life in 2010, and gave it the same spirit of the previous incarnation. That means nights of poetry and live music, and a menu of "petiscos" ("tapas"), teas and cocktails throughout the day, in a retro-designed space made of antique pieces and old records.
You'll find it in the tiled "Villa Souza" building by the Graça viewpoint.

O primeiro "Botequim" foi fundado em 1968 por Natália Correia, e durante as décadas de 70 e 80 foi um espaço de reunião de intelectuais. Encerrou após a morte da poetisa em 1993, mas novos proprietários deram-lhe uma nova vida em 2010. Ele recupera o espírito do passado, com noites de poesia e concertos acompanhados por petiscos, chás e cocktails.
Aberto também durante o dia, tem um ambiente retro, decorado com objetos e discos antigos.
Encontra-se num edifício forrado com azulejos (o Villa Souza), bem perto do Miradouro da Graça.
